Palladium is seeking a Chief of Party for an upcoming Urban Adaptation Financing project with USAID. The project will help secondary cities in Asia develop climate change adaptation projects as well as connect them with both public and private sector entities for funding. The COP will have overall responsibility for the project ensuring quality control and responsiveness of all activities performed. The candidate will provide strategic vision and will manage relationships with high level public sector counterparts and private sector representatives.

  • Serve in leadership role to direct projects overall technical direction.
  • Mange project team providing oversight for projects budget and monitoring overall project performance
  • Serve as liaison to USAID and local entities, establishing and maintaining strong relationships that will contribute to the success of the project.

  • Advanced degree in relevant field and at least 10 years' experience managing donor funded projects and teams

  • A demonstrated track record of progressively responsible managerial experience implementing complex projects with multiple activities and prior leadership roles for activities of similar complexity.

  • Relevant technical experience in climate change adaptation mainstreaming and planning at national and sub-national levels, urban infrastructure financing through public and private sources, environmental governance and policy, and/or institutional strengthening.

  • Previous experience in developing collaborative working relationships with counterparts and other Contractors.

  • Experience working Asia highly desirable with strong understanding of social and cultural context of the region.

  • Proven interpersonal skills and exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity

  • Fluency in English required
