Objective of the position: o To oversee the development and implementation of grants, coordinate and support the hospital departmental M&E activities in order to achieve their strategic objectives. o The position holder shall supervise and provide technical and strategic guidance to other functional units given under this role including Media and Communications, Fundraising and Research.
Duties & Responsibilities: o Coordinate and support the hospital departmental regular M&E activities in order to achieve their strategic objectives o Ensure that the fundraising team prepares draft proposals, share them for discussion and endorsement, corrections and submission to donors in a timely manner. o Ensure that CoRSU initiates registration with major donor institutions and gather information on funding, apply for grants and provide funding accountability o Monitor local funding, private patients and advise management on how to appeal for individual donations and funding from local corporate companies o Ensure increased awareness through media events and publications o Ensure that the team provides regular timely reporting to existing donors and targeted communication to potential donors. o Provide effective supervision and performance management of the functional units given under the position effectively. o Monitor and organise appropriate planning meetings and M&E training based on the CORSU strategic plan. o Closely monitor and coordinate research activities to ensure that guidelines are followed, publications written and disseminated. o Ensure maintenance of good public image and customer care at all times.
Essential University degree preferably in Statistics, M&E, Project Management, Grants Writing/Project Management or any other relevant field Post graduate qualification in Proposal Writing is an added advantage Minimum 4 years’ experience with proven track record of grant development and management planning, fundraising, and budgeting for institutional and private donors. Excellent communication, presentation and social skills. A Clear understanding of the workings of bi-lateral and multi-lateral institutional donors. Thorough knowledge of MS Office and analytical packages Team leadership and coordination skills and experience
Desirable A qualification in promotions, marketing, and communication.
Knowledge of local languages Good understanding of disability inclusion.
