ABOUT THE JOB: JUMP!’s Senior Finance Manager is to be located in the Bangkok hub. This individual will be an outgoing and goal-oriented professional who will play a lead role in operating a multi-regional organizational structure, with two hubs in Bangkok, Thailand and Beijing, China. The Senior Finance Manager will work closely with the Head of Operations and senior management team to execute organizational responsibilities as directed by the Board of Directors. The role involves management and oversight of the finance and accounting functions of the organization and continuously improving the quality and efficiency related systems and processes.
JOB Responsibilities:**
The Senior Finance Manager will have competence and flexibility in a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following areas:
· Creates reliable, relevant and insightful monthly reporting, forecasts and budgets and presents information effectively to the senior management team and the Board.
· Manages organizational-wide forecasting, budgeting and reporting, including both short and long-term forecasts which informs the strategic plan.
· Reviews and approves program and regional budgets with partnership managers, and undertakes regular review of regional finances with them.
· Directs and manages the end-to-end program finance process, including contracting, invoicing, payment tracking, expense reimbursement, and post-program evaluation of budget vs actual expenditure.
· Ensures bookkeeping is kept up to date in Xero accounting software by ensuring accurate financial information is prepared internally and flows to external bookkeeper by month close.
· Provides financial oversight and supports the financial systems and processes for China operations and Global operations.
· Coordinates the annual audit process with the auditor in Hong Kong, and ensures it is completed in a timely manner.
· Manages payroll and reimbursements, and liaises with the cashier to organize bank transfers to internal and external parties.
· Liaises with banks, law firms, and financial consultants to oversee financial and legal compliance needs are addressed.
· Manages staff including the bookkeeper, cashier and operations managers/officers, and identifies need to recruit human resources to support finance function.
· Coaches and trains program staff in following and understanding organizational and program related financial processes.
Required Qualities:
· Minimum 5+ years of management and finance/accounting experience, and preferably hold an MBA qualification.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where there are strict deadlines and priorities may change quickly from day-to-day.
· Enjoys the challenge of driving forward big projects independently and with minimal supervision e.g. implementing new financial software.
· Possess advanced Excel skills, excellent analytical skills and proven strong financial modelling skills.
· Fluent in English with excellent communication skills; at ease in liaising with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including presenting to senior management.
PREFERRED Qualities:
· Prior experience managing an international team, preferably in Asia; exposure to working in a start-up environment is particularly desirable.
· Previous management experience with a non-profit organization.
· Interest in experiential education and passion for working with youth.
· Conversational proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) and/or Thai.
