ABOUT THE JUMP! FOUNDATION: The JUMP! Foundation is a non-profit organization that believes in inspiring, empowering, and engaging youth through collaborative and innovative experiential learning programs. JUMP! offers a series of leadership activities suited for students at international schools and universities, including in-school workshops (JUMP! Schools programs) and outdoor adventure trips (JUMP! Experiences programs). We facilitate participants to develop personal, community, and inter- community leadership skills. To help realize our vision for a world in which young people fulfill their true potential, JUMP! invests surplus revenue in an internal Development Fund. This fund is used to run experiential youth-focused development projects around the world.

ABOUT JUMP! DEVELOPMENT:

JUMP! Development Fund partners with local NGOs to implement social innovation programs where under-resourced youths receive training, design Impact projects for their communities, and implement their projects with seeding funding and mentorship. To date, JUMP! Development has served over 3,000 youths in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The JUMP! Development Fund invests in high impact youth empowerment projects that bring marginalized youth together to engage in the process of developing their leadership skills, improving their communities, and connecting with other communities. These projects aim to inspire youth-led positive change in under-served communities by:

Building capacity of: Local organization & Youth participants

Unlocking knowledge and solutions from: Local organization & Youth participants

Developing best practices for how to: Engage youth in leadership development

Creating impactful and sustainable community impact projects

JUMP! Development follows a 3-step process to inspire youth-led positive change-making initiatives in local communities:

  1. ‘Emergent Leadership’ Conferences/Training with each partner organization
  2. Social Enterprise Micro-Grants: 4 SocEnt Micro-Grants per ELC (Total: 16/year)
  3. J! Social Entrepreneur Alumni Network: One SEMG initiative per partner org/region (Total: 4/year)

a. J! Supported Projects Promoted to J! Network (J!Schools)

i. Posters + crowd-funding campaigns

b. J! Social Entrepreneur Mentorship Program

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The JUMP! Foundation is currently seeking a skilled and energetic candidate to fill the role of JUMP! Development Fund Manager. This individual will be an enthusiastic and goal-oriented manager, who plans, coordinates, and delivers in-school programs. The JUMP! Development Fund Manager will manage and enhance relationships with our development partner. The JUMP! Development Fund Manager will effectively solve problems through individual initiative; accurately communicate with the JUMP! Foundation’s multi-cultural and international partner base; and contribute to the total efforts of a small, dedicated team.

The JUMP! Development Fund Manager will also act as a JUMP! Facilitator. JUMP! Facilitators are deeply committed agents of change and are recognized as individuals who bring diverse knowledge, extensive life experience, and unique perspectives to facilitating experiential education programs. Passionate about leadership and social development, JUMP! Facilitators foster an environment that inspires, empowers, and engages youth to reach their full potential. Our team of JUMP! Facilitators deliver programs that spark personal development, strengthen a sense of community, and increase global awareness within participants.

SCOPE OF WORK

The Development Manager will have competence and flexibility in a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Partnership Management:

· Actively seek partnership opportunities.

· Actively assess the needs of our partner organizations and communities and implement appropriate interventions.

· Manage relationships and communications with JUMP! Development Fund partners.

Program Management:

· Design, manage, and facilitate JUMP! Development programs

· Organize and manage all template and program-specific documents

· Update and develop template and program-specific documents

· Follow the program management process (needs assessment with partner, program design, program execution, post-program reporting and evaluation)

Financial Management & Reporting

· Prepare and adhere to program budgets; completing program expense reports

· Identify and apply for program and operation grants

· Manage a portfolio of J! Development grants

· Monitor and evaluate JUMP! Development Projects

· Generate content for J! Dev marketing and communications (i.e. newsletter, social media posts, program flyers, etc.)

REQUIRED QUALITIES:

· Ability to travel international significantly

· Passion for working with youth

· Background in experiential education and program design

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Task-oriented, resourceful, and able to meet deadlines

· Self-starter and welcomes personal and professional development

· Attentive to detail, organized, and able to multi-task, and comfortable with a flexible work schedule

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Familiarity with online social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Wordpress

· Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALITIES:

· Prior experience living and working abroad

· Experience designing, developing, and facilitating development programs for youth.

· Experience and familiarity with international school system
