Here’s where you come in:

As Regional HEA Manager, Asia Pacific, you will provide support to Regional Humanitarian Emergency Affairs Director (RHEAD) on provision of strategic leadership in the implementation of HEA operation in Asia Pacific region. You will be reporting to the RHEAD and will support the Senior Director Operations for Ministry Impact and Engagement in ensuring that HEA operation in disaster risk reduction, preparedness, response, mitigation and transition management meets both WV and international standards.

Requirements include:

  • Advanced degree qualification preferred. Bachelor degree in Development Studies, Climate Change, Crisis Management, or equivalent Humanitarian experience and qualification.
  • A Minimum of 5-7 years in operational humanitarian experience with minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in Asia Pacific.
  • Strong empirical knowledge of Humanitarian Sector including humanitarian charter, laws and standards.
  • High level awareness of global, regional socio-economic and political issues in Asia Pacific.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
