UNICEF Thailand is seeking an individual consultant to take photographs, video footage and produce short video clips of children and UNICEF-related work in Thailand. Photos and video clips will be used for UNICEF communication, fundraising and programme materials.
Work Assignment:
In support of the Communication section planned activities, the consultant will undertake the following work assignments:
- Take photos and video footage as well as edit/produce short video clips about children on various topics.
- Provide a set of selected photos with caption, along with all of the photos taken, as per brief.
- Work with Senior Communication Assistant and others in the section on video editing, subtitling and other related photography and video work.
The consultant will work closely with Senior Communication Assistant. Briefing on UNICEF project background and related children’s issue will be provided before the assignment. Senior Communication Assistant will also brief the consultant on the type of outputs needed for each assignment.
Estimated Duration of Contract: 1 January 2016 - 31 December 2016 (with possibility of extension)
The consultant will work for approximately no more than 10 days per month. Payment will be made at the end of the month based on the number of actual working days and submission of satisfactory deliverables.
Qualifications or Specialized Knowledge/Experience Required:
- Expertise in photography, videography and video editing
- At least 6 years of experience in photography especially in documentary area
- At least 4 years of experience of videography and video editing
- Able to provide good story-telling through photo essays and short video clips
- Flexible to travel to other provinces
- Creative and easy to work, sensitive to children and children’s issues
- Consultant must be based in Thailand
